SSR Marker-Based Genetic Resource Assessment of the Rainbow Clam Moerella iridescens Along the Coasts of China: Implications for Strategy of Conservation Management

This study aims to determine the genetic structure of rainbow clam Moerella iridescens in different sea areas China. Seventeen pairs microsatellite primers (SSR) were used amplify SSRs Lianyungang Haizhou Bay, Chongming Shanghai, Ningde Fujian, Daishan Zhoushan, and Cixi Wenzhou Zhejiang. A total 1,146 alleles detected 310 individuals from 17 SSR loci. The average observed heterozygosity six populations was 0.4381?0.6139, expected 0.5897?0.7325, Shannon diversity index 1.2655?1.7998. clams exhibited rich diversity, F ST differentiation 0.0470, indicating low among populations. results indicated that along coasts China high population differentiation.
